Singapore’s Cedele… at a Price!

Okay, okay. I know this is Date Places Philippines, but I just wanted to share a dining experience I had in Singapore with some friends with a charming twist at the end. The restaurant is named “Cedele“, and it’s a charming, modern and chic place to get coffee, brunch, or dessert.

Cedele menu... charming in simplicity
Some nice friends took me there and the menu is quite mouthwatering. We just wanted some brunch but the great looking food made us get not only main entrees for lunch but a mix of dessert as well. Here are some nice photos and see if it doesn’t make your mouth water:
Okay, the catch:
The food look pretty, but IT DOESN’T TASTE GOOD. And gosh, were they expensive! Each dish cost about 25 SGD (about P750 pesos), and my shrimp wasn’t even peeled. The main dishes were nothing bad, of course, but it certainly wasn’t something special, too.

Beef with soft mushrooms and vegetables

Same as above dish, but this time salmon

Salmon with Ravioli salad

(Unpeeled) Shrimp with Asparagus
The desserts were tasty though, costing about 20SGD each. But golly, I cringed my eyes when ordering. At Serendra I could get everything at half the price, and that’s Serendra.

Fruit Pavlova - my favorite!

Yummy Pistachio Chocolate Cake

Blueberry Cheesecake... nothing special
And so my point: Not everything that’s expensive is good.
25 SGD per main course and 20 SGD per dessert dish. Just to reiterate: you can have a buffet dinner at a hotel in Manila for this price.
If you do happen by Singapore, do drop by Cedele for the desserts, but I recommend skipping the main dishes.
There are a lot of branches, look at the Cedele locations here!
