Napoli Pizzeria and Ristorante at Timog: Surprise, surprise

I’ve heard some stuff about Napoli Pizzeria Ristorante and wanted to validate it myself. I dragged my date to the Timog branch (near the circle) and got ready for some Italian casual dining.
The place is not bad at all. Though it’s certainly not a place you’ll take your first date to, it’s an acceptable nice place to go to on date Fridays. The place is tastefully decorated, in fact better than Amici, which increasingly looks like Italian food court lately.
Anyway, I’d take a booth and just relax there as the place puts you in a relaxing mood indeed.
Menu

The rustic Napoli Pizzeria menu
Napoli Pizzeria and Ristorante Timog has a rich menu – possibly impossible to be able to taste everything in this lifetime. From starters to Pizza to Pasta to entrees, there is something for everyone. We decided on a starter (mozarella balls – P180) and a pasta (Puttanesca – P210) to split – we’ve heard that the serving shere are family-sized.

Good thing. We got surprised when a platter-full of Puttanesca (with three pieces of garlic bread) got served – enough for a family of four.

We enthusiastically dug in on the pasta. It was too salty for my date, but since I like salty food it was all good. For most people though, I think the salty anchovies would be a bother paired with the slightly salted olive-oil.

Napoli Timog cheese puffs
The cheese puffs were so-so – I personally think it was a bit overdone, and I’d do it with less crust and more cheese, even if they raise prices a little.
Parmesan cheese on the table, free to get, for a P200 pasta for two. What could be better? I’d definitely come back here for more, and possibly bring other dates *wink*
