77 Bar in Kamuning: Cozy and Homey

It literally looks like a home that allowed strangers inside. 77 Bar makes you feel like you just went to lola’s house for a party, and they allowed you to go drinking.

The entrance is like a porch and at the ground floor, unmatching tables and chairs await you.

The beer is cheap enough: San Mig light costs around P40 at 77 Bar. The food is great – must-try is the longganisa pizza and their pasta, which is surprisingly gourmet (for a bar).

Its a non-pretentious place where students and NGOs hang out, along with your occasional red-flag bearing conversationalists. This is the “artiste” hang-out in Kamuning – especially that craft shops are also along the road. They also have a decent wine, which I unfortunately forgot the name of.

The thing I love the most is the clean CR with tissue and bidet. Here’s a shot of what you’ll see across the wall while taking a pee.

Give 77 bar a try and you’ll be glad you did. It definitely helps if you’re going for the artsy fartsy vibe with your date.
